Is the 2700 XL Wireless reliable? accurate?
The 2700 XL Wireless system is a hybrid of hardwired and wireless. When a beam is tripped on the track, the beam is hardwired to a T-Link Wireless Unit on the side of the track which captures the trip and records a timestamp. The timstamp information is repeatedly transmitted back to the console to insure no trip is missed. Since the timestamp does not change, the timing remains accurate even though there may be RF interference out there. The T-Link continues to retransmit the same timestamp information until the console receives it. |
