Description
Roll Racing is heads-up competition with two cars side-by-side starting from a pre-set speed roll. The field is diverse — from street-driven Civics and mini vans to Teslas, Mustangs and Lamborghinis. Rolling starts are cheaper, easier on the cars and safer than a standing start, which is hard on tires, clutches, transmissions, rear ends, axles and motor mounts.
At most drag strips running roll racing there is no consistent way to monitor approach speeds, and it is not unusual for one car to get a jump on the other.
