Where can I download the current FTDI drivers?

The current FTDI drivers for RaceAmerica product numbers 4520A/A2/A4/U, 4620A/A2/U, 45232A/B, 45485A can be downloaded at the link below.

When installing FTDI drivers, the software installation is a two step process. The installation begins with install of the USB driver, then the second step is install of a serial port driver, both contained in the FTDI install program.

When the installation is complete, plug in the USB Wireless Unit and wait a few minutes until Windows assigns a COM port number to the device. The COM port is used by software programs to communicate between Windows and the USB hardware.

Will these drivers work with all versions of Windows OS?

These are the latest drivers and are fully compatible with Windows 7, 8, or 10 and the latest FTDI chips. Older Windows will load these drivers but performance ranges from unreliable to not fully compatible. There were two sets of FTDI drivers in the past and were mostly dependent on the revision of the FTDI chip inside the hardware being installed.
