RaceAmerica now offers Wireless Data Communications Links on all their Timers, Scoreboards, Printers and even your PC, making setup even easier. These wireless units are pre-configured at RaceAmerica's factory for optimum operation and high resistance to RF and ignition interference. Capable of operating with timing applications separated by thousands of feet, these convenient units can operate from 12VDC, 110VAC, and 230VAC or draw power directly from one of RaceAmerica's Scoreboards and Large Displays.
RaceAmerica's models 4520 and 4620 Wireless RF Data Comm Link units install easily to your PC or Timeslip Printer. Using your existing cabling, these wireless units are plug-to-plug compatible with the hardwired cabling and RS422 Communications PODs you may currently be using. Designing these units to be plug-to-plug compatible results in a hardwire backup using your existing equipment - and it's a snap to changeover from wired to wireless and back. Color coded interconnect cables for RS232 and RS422 communications links keep the cable wiring organized. LEDs on the Wireless Data Comm Links indicate when data is transmitted and received to ensure the placement of these units increases their reliability.
Installation of the transmitting unit is simple and straightforward. For many drag racing applications, the wireless unit is placed at the base of the Drag Christmas Tree or on the side of the control booth or tower. Data cabling and power are routed to the wireless unit and it's ready for use. LEDs on the Wireless Data Comm Links indicate when data is transmitted and received to ensure the placement of these units increases their reliability.

RaceAmerica also offers an internal model of the Wireless RF Data Comm Link on newer models of RaceAmerica Scoreboards and Large Displays. The wireless module is installed at the factory inside the scoreboard or display pre-configured and requires the customer to installation only the antenna and it's ready for use!
