IDEC-II Decoder
The heart of the IDEC-II Transponder Timing System is the latest technology model 7800A transponder decoder unit. The decoder receives transponder signals from each transponder as they pass over the loop antenna installed on the track. ID's are received, decoded, and sent to the race Manager PC software program for scoring. Built into the IDEC-II is the ability to limit stray signals from transponders on vehicle not currently racing. The IDEC-II can receive transponder signal from up to two loop antennas on the track connected via coaxial cables and output ID's and timestamps through its serial interface or a TCP/IP link to the PC in the tower. Race Manager PC software collects this information, scores, and outputs race results realtime to the LED Scoreboards. |

Transponders & Mounts
Each transponder is assigned and secured to a driver or vehicle. The unique Transponder Serial Number is entered into the Race manager PC software to identify the driver or vehicle as they cross over the loop antenna at the finish line. Transponders are installed into one the mounts designed for bolting to a vehicle or placing inside the protective pouch for race tracks with loose dirt surfaces. Three transponder models are available, pn 7810A (yellow) with internal rechargable battery, pn 7811A (orange) connects to external 12VDC battery, and pn 7812A (white) with lifetime Lithium battery designed to strap to a riders boot. |
 |
Individual Charger Cradles
The transponder's internal battery is recharged using the 110VAC or 230VAC Charger Cradle. Full charge can be achieved in a matter of hours and lasts up to seven days. On pn 7810A, the Green LED on the transponder blinks the number of days remaining on the charge. The Red LED flashes when battery level is low and requires a charge. |
 |
Bulk Transponder Charger
The convenient carry case and room for 45 transponders makes the Bulk Transponder Charger the perfect solution to handling the recharge of transponders at large events. |
 |
Loop Antenna Connection
The loop antenna wire is installed under the racing surface. The loose ends of the wire loop are connected to the Balun provided with the timing system. The coaxial cable connects from the Balun to the IDEC-II decoder in the tower.
