RT50
Drag Race Practice and Game Tree
 |
The RT50 is a RT Competition Game, Practice System, and Demo Tree System designed for one or two players to practice alone, play each other, or play against the RT50 with five levels of skill. The RT50 is the combination of a 40" tall, full featured drag tree, an integrated LED digital display, and a full featured RT Practice timing system controller. The RT50 is powered from any 110VAC electrical outlet with real 110VAC Flood Lights, not LED's! The RT50 ships with a 12-button Control Keypad and two Player Pushbuttons. The RT50 has a full featured set including a RT Practice System for one or two players or against the RT50, a Drag Race Demonstration Display Tree, a Manually Controlled Starting Tree, a RT Competiton Game 'Best of 7' for the more competitive players, and a Digital Clock with the tree active on the hour when the RT50 is not in use. The RT50 also has features for the more advanced drag racer like configurable Vehicle Rollout to closely simulate vehicle and track conditions, Dial-ins for simulated bracket racing starts, and Full (Sportsman) and Pro tree starting lights. For the seasoned bracket racer, the RT50 can randomize Dial-ins for each lane simulating the random vehicle pairings during bracket racing. |

RT50 Modes of Operation
RT Practice Mode
RT Practice Mode configures the RT50 for 1 or 2 lanes or playing against the computer, duplicating standard NHRA starting sequences and Reaction Time measurement. In this mode, the tree starting sequence, Pro or Full, can be selected using the keypad control. Dial-ins can also be randomized or entered to duplicate track conditions during Bracket racing. For the more advanced users, Vehicle Rollout can also be configured to add the delay normally experienced between the driver's reaction time and the vehicle physically moving forward. Once the RT50 is configured for the desired racing format, the pushbutton is pressed and held until the pre-stage lights illuminate simulating rolling into the pre-stage beam. When both lanes are staged, the tree starts using the previously configured settings for tree type, dial-ins, and vehicle rollout. Redlights are indicated by the tree freezing during the starting sequence and the red light illuminated. The Digital Display on the tree displays the reaction times until a pushbutton is pressed to clear the tree, ready for the next practice session. |

'Best of 7' Game Mode
Best of 7 Game Mode is similar to RT Practice Mode with both lanes active with the addition of keeping score of the wins until one lane wins four races. As in RT Practice Mode, the tree starting sequence, Pro or Full can be selected using the keypad control. Dial-ins can also be entered to duplicate track conditions during Bracket racing. For the more advanced users, Vehicle Rollout can also be randomized or configured to add the delay normally experienced between the driver's reaction time and the vehicle physically moving forward. As the number of wins increases, the three yellow and the green light are used in each lane to indicated the total number of wins by lane. The winner after each race is indicated by flashing of the total number of win lights in the winner's lane. Actual RT is displayed in the LED DIsplay on the tree for both the left and right lanes. Competition continues until one lane has reached four wins. |
Demo Mode
Demo Mode continuously simulates the start of the racing action completely unattended. Demo Mode pre-stages each lane, then stages both lanes, then demo mode selects a starting light sequence and dial-in for each lane before starting the tree. Redlights occur on some starts and green lights are illuminated for the winning lane. After displaying the race results on the tree, the tree clears and after a short pause, a new race start begins. |
 |
Manual Mode
Manual Mode enables the tree to be used as a starting tree for special events controlled manually by an operator. The starting light sequence is selected using the keypad. Dial-ins can also be configured to stager each lane's side of the tree. Press and hold the right pushbutton until the pre-stage lights illuminate. Release the pushbutton to stage both lanes and the tree starts. After the green lights are illuminated for a few seconds, the tree blanks ready for the next manual start. |
 |
Clock Mode
When the RT50 is not in use, the Digital Display can display the time of day. The time of day is set when the RT50 is first powered up and keeps time even while playing a game or practicing your reaction time. Clock Mode can also be configured to start the tree's Sportsman starting lights on the hour as an extra 'attention getter'. |
