Our very old floodlight tree just gave us a reason to replace it (actually it got ran into).

Will one of the LED tree work with an older 2600 drag system?

Too bad to hear about the tree incident but the good news is the current DTSS Double Sided LED Drag Tree (lights facing the drivers and lights facing downtrack) and the SST Single Sided Drag Tree (lights facing the drivers) are both plug compatible with the older floodlight trees. Both of the DTSS and SST are available in 110VAC/220VAC.

Need a 12VDC solution? Due to the low power consumption of the LEDs, the DTSS and the SST can be powered from a standard 12VDC car battery using an inexpensive 100W 12VDC upverter.

The big difference between the LED tree and the traditional floodlight tree is power and response. LED tree is 60 watt while the floodlight tree is 3,000 watt. The LEDs time to turn-on is almost instantaneous while floodlights has a 160 millisecond turn-on time. To view a comparison of the turn-on time difference, check out the comparison video at:
