sorry,maybe out of topic.
what differrent 5140E and 5158E track sensor?
can we use at 402 meter for dragrace?

5140E track sensors are compatible with 5040, 5042, 5052, and 5050 IR beam emitters. 5158E sensors are compatible with 5058 emitters. 5158 sensors are used for start lines while 5140 sensors are used everywhere else on the track. 5158 are slower response required for staging and starting when vehicle is standing still or moving from a dead stop.

Using a 5158 sensor with a 5058 emitter downtrack will appear to work but will most likely miss beam trips with fast moving vehicles. 5140 sensors and 5040/42/50/52 emitters will detect slow and fast moving vehicles.

I would not suggest using the 5158 sensor at the finish line for a 402m drag race, vehicles are moving too fast to detect with a 5158.
